Education Without Backpacks aims to modernize Bulgarian education by supporting teachers and students on the path to their educational success. We believe that every child, regardless of their social status or financial situation, deserves to be digitally included and literate. This is all possible when we work together. We are currently aiming to raise the staggering maths scores of children across the country. How are we going to achieve it? By training and providing ongoing support to middle school math teachers as they introduce Khan Academy into their classrooms. We are already working with 12 schools with low student achievements, and we aim to support 10 more schools in 2025.

For each donation we can issue a receipt and a certificate, as well as make a donation contract.
Payroll giving or direct debit
You determine the amount and duration of the donation. One option is payroll giving – the amount you specify is transferred directly from your payroll to “Education Without Backpacks”. The other option is direct debit to your bank.
For Payroll Giving:

Give it to your company’s Accounting or HR Department.
For Direct Debit:
Fill in the attached form – Direct_debit;
Take the completed form to a branch of your bank.
Information for donors:
Donors can receive a certificate to certify their donation to the relevant tax authorities. For this purpose, you need to sign a Donation Agreement.

If you leave your contact details on the platform through which you donate, or write to us at hi@obr.education, we will inform you specifically. Separately, we publish information about the work done and the donations we receive in our annual activity reports. Where donation platforms allow, we publish public reports there as well.
