Nikoleta graduated in Japanese Studies at Sofia University, spending one year of her studies in Osaka, Japan. Before that she finished the Mathematics High School in Varna and in the years since then has successfully combined philology and mathematics in her work. She has worked in several international companies as a translator/editor, coordinator and analyst. Alongside her professional duties she has always been an active participant in numerous volunteer initiatives, one of the first and most significant of which was the translation of Khan Academy.
